How can I help my students become self-directed learners?
How can I support the diverse needs of the learner?
On the first day of class students will complete an online 27 question "Self-Assessment Survey". This information will help me address the diverse learning styles of the students. Teacher produced "Student Examples" will model the desired final product and rubrics will guide them on the required attributes needed to complete the project. Games and worksheets will reinforce learning. Rubric and testing will assess learning and comprehension. Students will blog each day to reflect and for self- assessment.

Day 3
How has your project addressed your Essential, Unit and Content questions?
How do you plan to introduce the project to your kids.
The Essential, Unit and Content questions are being addressed through activities that inform and educate and requires the student to justify there reasoning.
I feel confident that the project is on tract and that by the end of the project students will have an understanding of Copyright Law and "be aware" of when they are commiting an "infringment." This is a realistic expectation.
I play to introduce the project by administering a Quia Quiz of 20 multible choice question about Copyright Law to assess pre-knowledge. After a discussion of each question, students will Blog the statement, "It is OK to download music and movies without paying because….” (finish the sentence and justify your response). Responses will be read aloud to the class without identifying the author.

How do you plan to use Curriculum Framing Questions to assess student learning?
Are they valuable? Why or why not?
Curriculum Framing Questions are valuable tools and I will use them to assess student pre-knowledge, to engage them in the subject material, to facilitate understanding, to help keep them focused and organized and to make real word connections.

Day 1
After feeding the computer...my brain... and sifting and sorting through all the possibilities, with much help from Natalie, who reasured me that I would be OK, I was able to come to gripes with what I needed to do. The process has reminded me what students can go through when they are given an assignment.
